Using design to bring together city and businesses, to support non-profits and low-income families
- A large, national non-profit wanted to bring city and businesses together to find innovative ways to support a number of regional non-profits that were under their umbrella.
- We interviewed the non-profits' staff and leadership to discuss their clients' needs, the organization's expectations, and identify individuals who could be key participants in a project.
- Our synthesis uncovered several insights relevant to the people the non-profits served and to the needs of the organizations themselves.
- We then prepared a number of collaborative workshops that put city, businesses, non-profits, and low-income parents together to design solutions to both their internal (organizational) and external (client) needs.
